Biography:
M.A., Radboud University Nijmegen, the Netherlands; Ph.D., Institute for Philosophy of Leiden University. Also studied as visiting scholar at the University of Chicago. Previously taught philosophy of law at Vrije Universiteit (VU University) Amsterdam. Contributing editor, HA!, yearbook of the Hannah Arendt Center for Politics and Humanities, Bard College; editor, Socialisme & Democratie: Politiek, wetenschap, essay (Socialism & Democracy: Politics, Science, Essay), journal of the Wiardi Beckman Foundation; and reviewer for HannahArendt.net: Journal for Political Thinking. Author of numerous articles, book chapters, reviews, and essays, as well as blog entries for Bard’s Arendt Center. Presentations and lecturers at various universities in the Netherlands, Belgium, Czech Republic, United Kingdom, and the United States.
