Biography:

B.A., Stanford University. Performed in the dance companies of Merce Cunningham, Alwin Nikolais, Murray Louis, Erick Hawkins, Yvonne Rainer, Katherine Litz, artists alliance at Judson Church. Choreographed for 15 years for his own company. Taught at Merce Cunningham Studio, New York. Artist in residence at Sarah Lawrence College; Cornell University; American University; Jacob’s Pillow; University of California, Santa Cruz and Santa Barbara; University of Arizona; Banff School of Fine Arts (Canada); Dartington College of Arts; The Place; Ballet Rambert and Sadler’s Wells (England); Werkcentrum Dans and Theaterschool (Holland); Danscentrum (Sweden); American Center (Paris); Union of Finnish Dance Artists (Helsinki). (1969–98) Professor Emeritus of Dance.
