Opened in the 2017 academic year, Brown and McCausland halls were opened as the latest addition to Resnick Commons and are named in memory of Evelina Brown and Sarah McCausland. Evelina and Sarah were struck and killed by a drunk driver in 2014, during their time as students at Bard.
Designed by Ashokan Architecture, these two residences house 59 students, each in a corridor-style configuration. Also known as Resnick M & N, these halls feature common rooms, community kitchens, laundry rooms, and a mix of two-user and single-user restrooms along corridors of double and single rooms. The ground level of each building consists of primarily triple-occupancy rooms.
